Want to try something completely different? When you were a kid did you dream of having a horse to ride and take care of? Whenever you see horses do you still wish you could ride?
You should join TrailMix.
TrailMix is a ministry for those interested in, well, horses. Our goal is to instruct anyone, ages 8-88 on horsemanship – care, grooming and beginning rider skills. Our goal is to see each participant improve their handling & care of a horse.
Trail Mix is also about fellowship and fun. There are even spiritual applications. Horse and rider relationships are great tools for showing what the human and God relationship should be like. There are many correlations between training horses and God’s training of His children.
Our future vision is to host an annual horse show and provide a forum for regional Christian horse trainers to showcase their unique ministries.
If you’re up for a challenge and some great fun, then TrailMix is for you. We meet the 1st Saturday of every month during Spring, Summer and Fall.
About Jacquie Schmidt: Jacquie knows that her love of horses was a gift from God and is thrilled she has found a way to use them in His service. Jacquie has worked in Christian Camps with horses and children for many years. She has been involved in 4H as a leader and participant since 1998 and has ridden in the New Jersey Shodeo Association. She has attended Philadelphia Biblical University and has always enjoyed teaching children and teens in her church. All of our trainers are highly experienced riders. Jacquie, her husband Frank and daughter Kelly have been involved with and have been around horses for many years through 4H and the New Jersey Shodeo Association.
