Below are our L.I.F.E classes at The Word beginning on July 11th,2010.

Revelation-God's Message Fulfilled  (Garry Ferguson-Rm 109B)
Join us for an in-depth study of one of the most fascinating books in the Bible-Revelation.  Together, we'll dig deep into revealed prophecy about the past, present and future.  We'll not only relate our study to current events, but we will also discover personal application from the lessons of Revelation. 

Living as Men of Integrity (Mark Cunningham- Rm 130)
Today's men face a daunting challenge - providing honest, authentic leadership in the midst of a fallen, corrupt society.  How can we avoid the pitfalls that plague so many men and their families?  Using God's word, video clips of current events and the collective wisdom of fellow men, we'll map out a plan to stregthen eachother as we become successful leaders in the eyes of God and our loved ones.

Kitchen Table Counseling (Karen Offenbacker- Room 132)
Women face challenges every week with their friends and families.  How do we help them when they ask for our advice?  Kitchen Table Counseling is for women who want to increase their knowledge of Christian counseling to help those around them who ask for advice.  God's Word brings life to those who apply God's principles.  We will address topics like abortion, abuse, bitterness, depression, fear, loneliness, materialism, self-worth, temptation and much more!  Join us!  Each participant will walk away with a notebook full of scripture, organized by topic, to help those around them in crisis.

Come as You Are Prayer Meeting (Erin Kelly- Rm A129)
Have you had a bad week?  Do you simply need some encouragement?  Come sit at the feet of Jesus and join us as we pray for our church, our country and all that concerns YOU today!

Building a Foundation of Confidence (Steve Hample- Rm 128)
How well do you know your way around the Bible?  Do you know what you believe and why you believe it?  What keeps you from sharing your faith?  What keeps you from serving in a ministry?  If you're like many people, the answer is lack of confidence in what you believe about God, His Word, and your faith.  Below you'll find a complete description of this exciting, potentially life-changing opportunity to build your confindence in your faith like never before.

The first 8 weeks of class will cover the Foundational module, as outlined here:  Understanding the Bible, What is Church all about?  What is Prayer?, How to Share your Faith, Understanding Sin and Salvation, Baptism and Communion, Understanding Praise and Worship, Understanding Serving and Giving

The last 5 weeks of class, you will have the option to stay and continue on to our Leadership module, as outlined below: We are Watchmen, Expectations and Qualifications for Leaders, Knowing the Basics, Continnued Christian Growth for Leaders, Am I a Servant or Volunteer, The Joy of Serving Jesus, Your Fit in The Word Ministry, Mentoring and Motivation, Your Responsibility to God, Your Family and the Church
