Is there Hope? In this age in which we live and in which our culture seems to be constantly changing, the question always arises – “Is there hope beyond the mess we’ve gotten ourselves into?” The answer is YES, YES and YES!! There is an absolute hope. Please know the following things: 1. ….. God is not some impersonal force floating out there in the universe somewhere. He loves each one of us and is concerned about the smallest details of your life. Better yet, He desires to have a close relationship with you and longs for you to live with Him forever in Heaven when you die. 2. .… You are not here by mistake. God desires to give your life purpose and real meaning. Your life has value and you are important to God. Read Psalm 139. You are valuable to Him. 3. …. Sin separates us from God. The Bible says that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” You see, we’re born with this sin nature and it separates us from the potential relationship we can have with God. In fact, because of sin, we deserve death. It’s a harsh reality, but there is a way out. 4. ….Because of His great love for us and His desire to have a relationship with us, He sent His son Jesus to die in our place. It through His death that He provides forgiveness of sins and allows us access to Him. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world (that’s you and me) that He gave his one and only Son (that’s Jesus), that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” [emphasis is mine] God provided a way to have fellowship with Him – through his Son Jesus Christ. You see, it’s only through Jesus Christ that we can attain a hope not only in this life but in the life beyond. Jesus said, “I am The Way, The Truth, and the Life; no man comes to the Father (God) except through me.”John 14:6 5. ….You can establish that relationship with God right now, wherever you are or whatever you’re doing. The Bible says, “That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” Romans 10:9 Just bow your head right where you are and you can talk to God Almighty! He’s been waiting for YOU… Use your own words. Pray from your heart – that’s what He hears. Tell Him you want to belong to Him. …Tell Him you believe that Jesus died for you.
