| |  | | | The Governing Board |  | Buz Offenbacker – Buz has been in ministry now since 1973 and is currently Senior Pastor here at The Word. Buz graduated from Liberty University in 1976 and served in an outreach capacity for a large ministry in Virginia for over 8 years, ministering primarily to youth in 49 states and many foreign countries. He then served with a prominent church here in South Jersey for over 20 years in music, teen, and singles ministries. He founded The Word in March of 2003 along with a wonderful group of people whose desire is to spread the Word of God to this current generation. Buz has a wonderful wife, Karen (with whom he has been married to for over 30 years) and two wonderful children, Nathan and Jessie (who is married to Nathan Johnson). Then there are the two (soon to be three) awesome grandchildren, Andrew and Lucas. Life doesn’t get any better than this!!!! |  | Bill Lorraine – Bill is a 65 year old retiree from Wheaton Glass and a 30 year resident of Sicklerville, NJ. Bill has been a believer now for over 30 years. He brings to us much experience in children and youth ministry, evangelism, stewardship and finance. He currently heads up our prayer ministries and serves as board chairman. Bill is married to Linda and has two daughters, Kimberly and Lori along with two wonderful grandchildren, Jonah and Lily. | | | Mike Ireland – To be updated asap. |  | Mark Cunningham – Mark has worked as a physical therapist since 1990 going into peoples’ homes, determining their current functional level and assisting them to regain their lost function and improve their overall quality of life. He brings this experience of helping people to the ministry here. He has served in various positions of church leadership including trustee, deacon and elder. Mark lives in Monroeville along with his lovely bride, Cheryl (they’ve been married since 1990), and four children, Mark Jr., Brianna, Katie and Jadyn. |  | Seth Brown – Seth brings great leadership skills to our board. He is currently a teacher and football coach. In fact, he teaches high school math at Schalick High School and is also Schalick’s head football coach. Seth was born and raised in Ohio and has lived in New Jersey since 2004. He has led Bible studies with his football team while attending Malone College in Ohio and spent several summers as a counselor at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes camp in North Carolina. Seth is married to Stephanie and has 3 children – Levi, Abigail and Mackenzie. He currently teaches in our Senior High Youth Group. |  | Dan Kirby – Dan, along with his wife Lorraine, have been living here in Williamstown for the past 30 years. He has a daughter and son (who are now grown) and a wonderful 9 year old grandson. Both Dan and Lorraine have been attending The Word since its inception in March of 2003. He has worked tirelessly behind the scenes since that time. Dan has been a top salesman for BMW for the past 24 years; 17 of those with DeSimone BMW in Marlton. His favorite time of the year – the Fall. We wonder why???? (GO EAGLES!!) | | | Ministry Staff |  | Lisa Jones – Lisa has known Pastor Buz and his wife Karen for over 16 years. She and her family have been with The Word since its inception in 2003. Before joining The Word, Lisa had spent 8 years working for a prominent ministry here in South Jersey in an administrative capacity; the majority of that time was spent working with Pastor Buz. When The Word began, Lisa volunteered her time then moved to part time and eventually full time. Lisa has been an Administrative Assistant to Buz since then, serving as an all around person in organizing and keeping straight the various ministries. Lisa is joined by her husband Mark and three children – Cayla, Austin and Danica. She thanks that Lord for being able to have a job that she not only loves, but also enables her to make a difference for the Kingdom of Christ. |  | Mark Jones – Mark has been with The Word since its inception in March of 2003. He grew up in a Christian home and comes from a long line of pastors and Christian educators. He attended Victory Christian School from kindergarten through 12th grade and is currently pursuing an advanced degree through Drexel University. He especially enjoys kids because they are moldable and have a heart for God. His experiences include Jr. High youth leader, children’s church coordinator, summer camp director and Sunday School teacher. Mark is our current Children’s Department Director. He is married to the lovely Lisa and enjoys spending his time with his three children Cayla, Austin and Danica. In his secret life, Mark is a professional wrestler. | | | |
